This report is published weekly on Wednesday and includes the number of broiler chicks placed and eggs set for the published states and United States for the most recent completed week along with the revisions for the preceding five weeks. The report also highlights the average hatchability for chicks hatched during the week in the United States. Data for this report is obtained from broiler-type hatcheries that hatch at least one million chicks per year.
This report contains information on weekly poultry slaughters under federal inspection, and includes heads, average weight, and slaughter comparisons to the previous week and same week a year ago, as well as year to date totals for the current and previous year.
This report concerns broiler and fryer chicken prices. Data is presented on a national and regional basis with and price and weight ranges for both whole and WOGS chickens. Also included are this year's and last year's price trends for composite weighted average prices.
