This publication contains the annual number of milk cows in production by state in the U.S. It also includes data on the milk production per cow in thousands of pounds, the amount of milk used on farms and sold for external consumption, the total price paid by pound for milk, and value of production by state and U.S. It was produced from 1941-1973.
This monthly publication presented the estimates for creamer butter and cheese production, by state and region, from 1938 to 1972. Starting in May 1972, the information published in this publication began being included in the Dairy Products publication.
