This is the weighted average report of livestock sales at the Ashville Stockyard in AL, with commentary on observed changes in supply, demand, and/or price. Included are relevant weight, price, and/or age statistics for feeder and slaughter cattle, and open and bred replacement cows and pairs.
This monthly release contains the number of heads and live weight of chickens, turkeys, ducks, and other poultry slaughtered under federal inspection. Also included are total live weights, average live weights, pounds certified, and both ante-mortem and post-mortem condemnations by type. Data for young chickens and young turkeys are also shown for selected states. Data for poultry slaughter estimates are collected by inspectors of the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and the USDA.
