Description: This bulletin presents final estimates, including revisions made by the Agricultural Statistics Board (ASB), for the production of citrus fruit for years 1954 to 2012. This bulletin is produced every several years and reports bearing acreage, yield, utilized production, price, and value for citrus crops.

Description: This release includes statistics for on-farm use of agricultural chemicals and pest management practices from producers of targeted fruit crops in major producing states. The survey population consisted of fruit and berry growers and the survey was intended to provide estimates of chemical usage at the state level. On non-survey year, acreage is based on trends, county extension service data, end of year production surveys, and other indicators. Beginning in May 2010, NASS agricultural chemical use data are published to the Quick Stats 2.0 database only (full-text publications have been discontinued), the latest data releases are available under the NASS Chemical Usage Program

Description: This release includes statistics for on-farm use of fertilizers, agricultural chemicals and pest management practices from producers of targeted vegetable crops in 19 states. The chemical use estimates focus on acreage treated with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and other pesticides for selected vegetable crops. Information for fruit is collected in odd numbered years, while vegetable information is collected in even numbered years. Beginning in May 2010, NASS agricultural chemical use data are published to the Quick Stats 2.0 database only (full-text publications have been discontinued), the latest data releases are available under the NASS Chemical Usage Program.

Description: The agricultural chemical use estimates in this report are based on data compiled from the Postharvest Chemical Use Survey. All results refer to pesticide applications and integrated pest management at off-farm storage and processing facilities after harvest. On-farm postharvest applications were beyond the scope of this survey. Description: Notice: This report has been discontinued as of Dec. 28, 2010. Weekly crop updates will continue to be available in NASS's Crop Progress report, released every Monday during the growing season. Agricultural weather-related information will continue to be published weekly by the USDA's World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB), which publishes the Weekly Weather and Crop Bulletin every Wednesday at noon. Formerly, NASS' report contained weekly national agricultural weather summaries, including the weather's effect on crops; summaries and farm progress for 44 states and New England area. This report includes corrections to the Crop Progress data released the previous day.

Description: This handbook identifies the usual planting and harvesting dates on a state by state basis for United States field crops covered in the National Agricultural Statistics Service's National program of crop estimates. It updates the information contained in the previous edition of this handbook which was issued in 1997.
The Field Offices of the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service compiled the basic information and prepared the estimates of usual dates based on historical crop progress estimates and the knowledge of industry specialists.

Description: This annual report provides statistical information pertaining to the on-farm use of restricted use pesticides. The agricultural chemical use estimates in this report are based on data compiled from the Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS), Conservation Effects Assessment Project (CEAP), and the Vegetable Chemical Use Survey. The report data is grouped by Program States, and contains surveys of chemical application on cotton and apple crops. The data is summarized by product, and only application data for active ingredients which are part of a restricted use pesticide are included in the report.

Description: This handbook identifies the usual planting and harvesting dates for fresh market and processing vegetables as well as principal producing counties and major varieties for the vegetables covered in the National Agricultural Statistics Service's national program of crop estimates. It updates the information contained in the previous edition of this handbook issued 1977.
The Field Offices of the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service compiled the basic information, prepared the estimates of usual dates, and designated the important areas of production and major varieties for their respective States. Growers and horticultural specialists were consulted to verify information published.

Description: This report is a chemical use survey issued by the National Agricultural Statistics Service on livestock and reports on insecticide use information on dairy cattle and dairy facilities in 17 selected states. Active ingredients classified by the Environmental Protection Agency as pesticides are included in the report. Pharmaceutical products for internal pests are excluded, but dual purpose products that can be applied internally or externally are included. Chemical use data is provided on a rate per head per application and rate per head per year basis. However, there is significant variation based on product formulation, method of application, and pest condition. Insecticide use information on dairy facilities (applied for the control of insects and pests only) is also included in the report.
