This report contains data on the annual number of turkeys raised. Data is presented on a national basis where historical trends for number of turkeys raised is also included. Data is also presented on a state basis for major states over the past two years. This report is continued by the Turkeysaised report by NASS.
This report contains the annual summary for dairy, poultry, and slaughter on farms and in commercial plants, as well as coffee, for Puerto Rico. Dairy estimates include milk cows, production of milk, milkfat, milk used, marketings and value. Poultry estimates include layer and egg production, pullets, other chickens, value, and price. Slaughter estimates include, red meat production, number of plants and head slaughtered. Data on coffee includes the harvested acreage, yield, production, value, and price of coffee. Also included is data on the number of farms, land in farms, and average size as an aggregate and by economic class.
This report presents historical data about the turkey industry including: incubator capacity, number of hatcheries, eggs set, number raised, pounds produced, value of production, number slaughtered, and prices highlighting the changes in the turkey industry over the years.
This special report provides an overview of the United States slaughter industry, encompassing both poultry and red meat production. Included in the report is data on number of heads, average live weight, average dressed weight, number of operations, production, and post-mortem and ante-mortem condemnation (for poultry). Also discussed are changes and trends in the commercial slaughter industry compared to historical data. The data was obtained through inspectors from the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and USDA.
This publication contains the final estimates for the production and value of broilers, chickens, turkeys and eggs, as well as total disposition and income by state. This publication is produced every several years following the census and currently contains data from years 1976 to 2012.
