Description: This report is the product of a telephone survey of farm operators to obtain information for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The survey was conducted to understand the scope and magnitude of hazards on agricultural operations, including the sources of hazards and the leading causes of occupational injuries. Farm operators were asked questions about their farm tractors and other safety and health issues associated with their farm in 2011.

Description: This report is a survey conducted by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) as part of the NIOSH Occupational Injury Surveillance of Production Agriculture project, and contains information on occupational injuries to adults on farms in the US in 2001, 2004, and 2009. Demographic information, source of injury, and changes in incidence of farm injuries are included in the survey.

Description: This report contains data concerning the injuries sustained by working and non-working youths under the age of 20. The data is presented on an age range basis, regional basis, and gender basis. The data found in this report results from a telephone survey of 50,000 farm operators to obtain information for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

NASS U.S. Wildlife Damage
Description: This report will show the total crop and livestock losses incurred by agricultural producers from wildlife damage. Economic losses will be divided into three categories: field crops; livestock and poultry; and vegetables, fruits and nuts. The reports will also show how much damage was caused by different wildlife species. U.S. Wildlife Damage is published every 5 years.

Description: Liability and Insurance Projection for farmers who have income-Producing recreation facilities. Preface: As a source of side income, some farmers near cities are providing recreational facilities for the use of fee-paying guests. Additional liability is involved. The ordinary personal liability or farmowner policy does not cover these income-producing recreational facilities. It covers only the basic farm operation. A farmer needs additional insurance on the side activities. This report discusses the liability involved in operation such recreational facilities and the type of insurance needed to provide financial protection against lawsuits arising from their use by fee-paying guests.
