Agricultural Outlook (AO) ceased publication in December 2002. A new magazine, AmberWaves, replaced Agricultural Outlook, FoodReview, and Rural America in February 2003. This archive contains AO publications covering commodity markets and trade, farm policy, and other food- and agriculture-related topics. Each release includes data on individual commodities, farm income, the general economy, agricultural trade, and related issues.

Commodity and trade outlook data and information continue to be available on the ERS website. Additional commodity- or topic-specific information may be found in ERS Briefing Rooms.

This publication reports on the revenue received by farmers from the marketing of their crops and livestock. Revenue received is presented by crop type and by state, as well as as a percentage of the state's total revenue. This publication contains data from years 1924 to 1955.

This publication reports on vegetable oils, animal fats and marine animal oils. Information presented includes classification, production, prices, trade, disappearance, tariff rates and excise taxes, weights and measures, saponification value, iodine number, melting point, titer, and fatty acids. This series contains data from years 1849 to 1935.

This publication reports the trends in fiber consumption in the United States. Series include mill consumption of raw fibers, consumption by ultimate consumers, and import and export trends. This report contains data from years 1892 to 1948.

This publication was published between 1942 and 1946. Included in each release is data on the number of livestock produced, slaughtered and sold, and the production and prices of wool. Relevant government actions, such as changes to inspection of certification, are also noted.

This monthly report examines the monthly U.S. agricultural imports and exports on both a commodity basis as well as a country by country basis. Data tables of agricultural trade is provided for both volume of trade and value of trade for the recent months as well as the fiscal year. Regular publication of this report has ceased after the February 2007 issue, however periodic reports are still being issued.

This report will show the total crop and livestock losses incurred by agricultural producers from wildlife damage. Economic losses will be divided into three categories: field crops; livestock and poultry; and vegetables, fruits and nuts. The reports will also show how much damage was caused by different wildlife species. U.S. Wildlife Damage is published every 5 years.

This report concerns organic product prices. Included in this report are specialty crops, grains, poultry and eggs, and dairy. The data for each commodity contains its price range as well as the prior year's prices. Also included for select commodities are price trends from both the current and prior year.

This publication was produced from 1963 to 1971 and provides information about the production and quality of range feed, and the quantity of goats, sheep, and cattle across the western rangelands. Beginning in April 1972, the content of this publication was combined with the content of Pasture Condition and is published in the monthly Crop Progress publication.
