This monthly publication presented the estimates for creamer butter and cheese production, by state and region, from 1938 to 1972. Starting in May 1972, the information published in this publication began being included in the Dairy Products publication.
This publication presents monthly and quarterly estimates of the number of milk cows in production, the production of milk per cow, and total milk production by state for the years 1988 to 1992. Annual estimates for the total number of operations with milk cows, disposition, and income by farm are also provided. Estimates contained in this publication provide a historic record and benchmark for current estimates.
This publication includes information on dairy and poultry commodities, including domestic production (by state), movement from the farm, receipts at markets, reshipments, farm and market prices, exports, imports, total production in foreign countries, and foreign market prices. Publication coverage includes data from 1849 to 1961.
