The information in this statistical bulletin was published between 1949 and 1965 and contains data extending back to 1900. The Feed Statistics series presented here provide information on stocks, production, supplies, utilization, commercial movement, foreign trade, and prices of grains and feeds for wheat, rye and rice. The Grain and Feed Statistics series also provides information on acreage, yield, price, supply and stocks.

ERS Feed Situation
This report contains commentary and data on feed production, supply, trade, use, and prices in both domestic and foreign markets. Transportation rate indexes and shipment information is also contained within the report. Data is available for a number of grains, including corn, oats, sorghum, barley, and hay, along with byproduct feeds. The report also contains a special article focusing on China?s corn production, consumption, exports, and imports, including projections on the country?s future corn trade and role as a major exporter.
The Feed Situation report was published monthly during the 1940s and then 5 times a year and quaterly in later decades. Supplemental statistical reports are also offered each year throughout the 1940s.

Current feed grain data are available from the Feed Grains Database on the ERS website. The interactive database contains data on U.S. acreage, production, supply, trade, use, and prices for feed grains (corn, sorghum, barley, and oats) and limited data for hay and some feedstuffs (wheat mill feeds, rice mill feeds, etc.).
