Uniform Milk Prices AMS

Description: The Uniform Milk Price is the weighted average monthly Uniform Milk Price announced each month and represents the minimum milk price required to be paid by regulated handlers to producers pooled under the Federal Milk Marketing Order program. The Uniform Milk Price is the weighted average price of all producer milk used in all classes, sometimes referred to as the "Blend" Price. Report Synopsis: The monthly Uniform Milk Price is derived by multiplying the minimum price for each class by the amounts of milk pooled in each class (this is the pool milk value for each class) and then dividing the aggregated combined pool milk value by the total amount of milk pooled each month. For those Orders that do not utilize multiple component pricing, additional data values (Uniform Butter Price & Uniform Skim Milk Price) are published. For the Orders that do utilize multiple component pricing, the Uniform Producer Price Differential (PPD) is also published. The All Markets Combined is a weighted average of all of the Orders but is based on the Order’s total producer milk pounds at the Order’s Uniform price.
