This report is published weekly on Wednesday and includes the number of broiler chicks placed and eggs set for the published states and United States for the most recent completed week along with the revisions for the preceding five weeks. The report also highlights the average hatchability for chicks hatched during the week in the United States. Data for this report is obtained from broiler-type hatcheries that hatch at least one million chicks per year.

This publication includes information on dairy and poultry commodities, including domestic production (by state), movement from the farm, receipts at markets, reshipments, farm and market prices, exports, imports, total production in foreign countries, and foreign market prices. Publication coverage includes data from 1849 to 1961.

In 1997, ERS expanded Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry Outlook to include information formerly contained in Poultry Outlook. The final issue of Poultry Outlook was published November 18, 1996. This archive report contains detailed analysis and data covering the poultry sector, focusing on production, price, and trade statistics.

This publication contains the final estimates for the production and value of broilers, chickens, turkeys and eggs, as well as total disposition and income by state. This publication is produced every several years following the census and currently contains data from years 1976 to 2012.

It continued coverage of the information that was previously published under the title Poultry: Production, Disposition & Income. In 1986, the title changed again the information was continued to be published with the title Poultry Production and Value.

It covers factors affecting the poultry and egg industries, the number of chickens, hens and other poultry raised, slaughtered and sold, and the number of eggs produced. The content of this report was previously published under the titles the Poultry and Egg Situation and the Poultry and Egg Outlook.

This annual dataset ceased publication in 2003. It contained the annual, quarterly, and monthly data for domestic livestock slaughter and meat production as well as the inventories, prices, and price indexes for meat and livestock, including cattle, sheep, hogs, poultry, turkey. Also included are the domestic supply and use of red meat and poultry as well as international imports and exports.
